Alexis Weill


Alexis Weill is founder and managing partner of WM Advisors, a multi-family office based in El Salvador offering sophisticated and customized investment advisory services for families and institutional clients. Since 2012 and leading to the founding of WM Advisors in 2020, Alexis has provided financial advice to a variety of companies and investors in the Latin American region, including merger and acquisition projects, public issues, new business launches and investment strategies. Such companies include Omnisport, Grupo Terra on its acquisition of Citibank’s assets in El Salvador (now Banco Cuscatlán), SigmaQ and BIMA (the world’s leading micro-insurance company). Prior to this Alexis worked in New York, initially as part of Credit Suisse’s investment banking team, specializing in financial institutions, and later at Corinthian Capital, a private equity fund where he completed investments through company acquisitions in a variety of industries. Alexis currently serves on the boards of Fundación Empresarial para el Desarrollo Educativo (FEPADE), Grupo de Sola, UassistMe, Grupo El ángel and SigmaQ’s financial subsidiaries; OroQ and PSQ. Alexis earned his BA in economics with a minor in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Alexis is a Fellow of the sixteenth class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
