Gabriel Biguria

Guatemalan who believes in the importance of quality education, innovation & tech to create new and better opportunities. VP Sales & Innovation at Acuamaya, a pioneer and leading, vertically integrated, sustainable shrimp aquaculture company, based in Guatemala. Co-Founder at Inprotin, a biotech company, focused on insect rearing to develop sustainable and efficient, insect-based products, for animal, plant and human nutrition.
Also participating on the boards of Empresarios por la Educacion, promoting positive change in Guatemala’s education system and AGEXPORT, (the Guatemalan Exporters Association), to help promote the best products and services from Guatemala to the world!)
He holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University and a BS in business and economics from Lehigh University. Married to a lovely Guatemalan woman and have 3 great children. He is a Fellow of the fourth class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Finally, he is also an avid triathlete and ultramarathoner (6 x Ironman and Marathon Des Sables finisher).

Gabriel’s project promotes civic participation in hopes to reduce violence in Guatemala. His project seeks to empower a network of active citizens through technology to eradicate the roots of violence and impunity in Guatemala and the region. The main motto is: “Security is a task for all Guatemalans”.
